Indigo is a stop motion animation story of confined woman who is liberated by Grandmother Spider while their opaque memories are projected in the background, in an effort to restore her spirit as their life nears the end.

This work explores themes of imagination and the inner child using hand-crafted, stop-motion figures.  They come to life in this dream-like world inspired by Indigenous stories.  A team of collaborators sculpted the work to reflect Indigenous principles of the medicine wheel, stories of Grandmother Spider embedded with personal experience. These teachings are reflected throughout the film within the worlds created and Indigo’s journey within them.
