In a remote village in Central India, school teachers put their heart and soul to prepare a group of children for an entrance exam for admission in a Government-run School of Excellence (Utkrisht School). Public-funded, these schools take care of the complete expenses for the students ensuring they get to continue studies as most of them are first-generation school-goers from underprivileged families. 'Entrance Exam' unfolds many layers of struggle in this intense journey as much as many pleasant surprises. This is a documentary film by AdityaVerma (student of School of Design, Doon University) who joined as an intern and worked on the project under the mentorship and support of SPS Community Media. This was his Design Thesis Project which is meant to be a final execution of the Design Process in a professional context, under the guidance of academic  and professional mentors. It is a demonstration of both, the understanding of inputs received during 7 semesters of education and also, the preparedness to independently execute design projects.
