About

I'm a Spanish scientist and transdisciplinary researcher holding a PhD in Biomedicine from the University of Barcelona. Over six years working in Neuroscience, I felt the imperative to delve into feminist epistemologies to look at the intersection of biomedical research and social justice. Following this exploration, I presented my latest work, "Moving Beyond Gender Bias: A Call for Transdisciplinary Research," at international congresses in Portugal, Spain, and the UK. Additionally, my proposal "The Impact of Gender Roles in Mental Health" won the "Best Concept for Increasing Diversity" award at the Human Brain Project Summit 2020, Athens.

Embracing an intersectional approach, I thrive on exploring diverse research languages and methodologies that de-hierarchize knowledge, making it accessible beyond academic boundaries. I’m passionate about poetic storytelling, which I see as a powerful tool to reimagine and reshape our realities.

Lately, I've been repairing metal boats and sailing the Mediterranean with a vibrant crew of punk womxn and queer people. This emancipatory experience is set to inspire my next film.
