About

Working to develop science outreach programming for NYU Abu Dhabi's Center for Genomics and Systems Biology — would love to connect with anyone who is experienced in running popular science programs. I received my B.Sc. in Physics from King's College London, my B.A. in journalism from New York University, wrote and edited for a legendary music publication in New York, published a paper on single-molecule localization software applied to photon-counting imaging, oversaw all faculty recruitment efforts for New York University's campuses in Abu Dhabi and Shanghai (which included expanding and managing the Abu Dhabi recruitment team, launching faculty recruitment for Shanghai, directing policy and liaising with academic leadership and staff in both countries), copy-edited a book on Cold War policy, contributed articles to websites on eco-friendly living, and tutored GCSE and A-level students in Math, Science and English, which is consistently challenging and always, always rewarding I write stories for a personal blog on traveling and self-growth, and copy edit for a website created for an audience of creative, tech-savvy, and entrepreneurial women. I want to use the writing skills I have learned and refined, and the knowledge gained in studying physics - a subject that has its hands in every other science - to bring big ideas to a curious public. Through working in science media, I specifically want to focus on inspiring and encouraging more women to pursue careers in STEM.
