An immersion in the desert with a Bolex and some questions… How do we perceive «nature»? Is it a «thing» to which us, human, are external? Or are we all part of a mesh without center nor perifery.


How can film transmit interrogations that might trigger possible transformation through an approach that is neither descriptive nor fantasque, but rather opts for the sensorial aspect of perception? Can an assembly of sounds and images invite us to perceive nature not as a thing, but as a living entity endowed with sensitivity and agency?
Zerzura is the third part of the trilogy Corpus Animale, following Resistance (2017) – an immersion on a glacier, and Osmosis (2022) – exploring the woods
