The green lungs of Central Europe – that is Šumava. However, the vast territory on the border of the Czech Republic, Germany and Austria has long been subjected to a severe test in the form of the spruce blight.
Lykozroutu puts everything in his pockets. Spruce monocultures are widespread in Šumava and, together with the drought and warmer climate of the forests in lower areas, provide ideal conditions for reproduction. Healthy trees are important for the functioning of the entire mountain area and the surrounding area, but their restoration takes decades. Foresters and conservationists must therefore find a common language. Should the non-interference in the ecosystem increase, or is the help of the human hand necessary? Finding a way is not always easy, especially when some disputes end up in court.
