In August 2021, a “new” Brazilian dinosaur was officially described: the Ypupiara lopai. Contrary to the common sense about dinosaurs as monstrous giant lizards, Arthur Brum's research shows what this animal was really like and what its main natural relationships were. From this perspective, Ypupiara: The Present Past tells the story of the discovery of the species and how its history reflects the fragility of paleontology and the scientific process in Brazil.
