Yakuaya is a nonverbal documentary that portrays the course of water and of life itself. The film follows the journey of a drop of water from its origin in a glacier to its arrival at sea.

The storyline emerges through symbolic images that connote the poetic ontology of water in order to express the various facets of human interaction with this element. The flow of water itself serves to narrate the film and becomes an underlying metaphor for themes on human behavior.
