This short film is a visual tale that explores through the eyes of a child the whimsical and poignant question of where our grandmothers go when they “get lost” from our lives. As my first AI-driven short film, the creation process was both challenging and experimental. It began traditionally with writing the scenario and creating a storyboard to outline the narrative structure. Images were generated using MidJourney and refined in Photoshop. The animation was crafted in Runway and enhanced with After Effects. Despite the experimental workflow, I adhered to familiar techniques with classic editing and color grading. The voice-over, recorded by an actress, was synchronized with the animation, and a specially composed soundtrack added the final touch.
