In November 2006, the members of the "Santo 2006" expedition conducted a biodiversity inventory on the island of Santo in Vanuatu. To accommodate the scientists, a camp was built by the local population, deep in the forest, a few kilometers from the village of Penaoru. A few months later, the villagers share their involvement in this mission and express mixed feelings.
