During a train journey across the same trajectory that was utilised for the transportation of sugar in colonial times, a young man drifts in and out of sleep. Slowly, visions from the past enter his dreams. While performers dance, he is pulled deeper down into his own subconscious, where colonial phantoms appear to him through intergenerational memories. Performance, history and trauma collide in this unique film, where shadows of the past reveal themselves through gestures of the present.
