The Clinical Ethics Center, which meets once a week at Cochin Hospital in Paris, is an experimental space: "experts" from across civil society come together to debate and assist with ethically challenging medical decisions. Families and medical teams can consult the center for guidance on decisions concerning end-of-life care, the resuscitation of an infant, assisted reproduction, or the coma of a loved one or patient. Drawing on the perspectives of jurists, philosophers, doctors, and journalists, the film explores the dilemmas that arise at the intersection of science and morality.
