OUT OF YELLOWSTONE (2009) is a 40-minute documentary exploring the seasonal migration of deer, elk, and pronghorn that travel from Yellowstone National Park’s highlands to lower valleys in winter. As energy development and housing subdivisions increasingly disrupt these critical migration corridors, wildlife faces diminished access to winter forage, threatening their survival and the ancient knowledge of migration routes. The film highlights the collaborative efforts of ranchers, conservationists, and scientists working to preserve these migration pathways and ensure the survival of Yellowstone’s iconic wildlife. Sponsored by The Nature Conservancy and produced by Fish and Cow Productions, OUT OF YELLOWSTONE tells a hopeful story of conservation partnerships in the Greater Yellowstone region.
