Who knew that, actor and filmmaker, François Truffaut’s non-biological father, the architect and construction draughtsman Roland Truffaut, had been a filmmaker in his own right. Truffaut (the latter) had dedicated a good portion of his creative energies to celebrating his other grand passion: skiing. At the time Truffaut showed his movies to his fellow Club Alpin Français members. Now, thanks to filmmaker-historian Laurent Roth some of these shorts are accessible in slightly cleaned-up versions.
