Miriam is a 13-year-old girl who lives with her mother and her baby brother. Being abandoned by her stepfather, her mother has fallen into postpartum depression, leaving Miriam as the only one responsible for her baby brother Noé. One morning Miriam skips school to take care of Noé and her mother, when her best friend Natalia invites her to a gathering at Diego’s house (the boy Miriam likes). Miriam tries to put Noé to  sleep so she can go to the gathering, but he refuses. Pressured by her mother to make Noah shut up, Miriam gives him a sleeping pill. With Noé finally asleep, Miriam escapes to the party where she gets to kiss Diego. The next morning, back at home, Miriam discovers that Noé doesn’t wake up. Miriam believes she has killed him, so she decides to drown with him in the bathtub. Surprisingly, Noé awakes underwater, causing Miriam to get them out and continue facing a life that doesn't seem more hopeful, but -perhaps- less lonely
