The Goryeo warriors who companied the Ming Dynasty delegation are on their way of banishment for suspicion of being spies. In the meantime, the Ming army is completely destroyed by the Won and only the envoys are left. Choi Jung (Joo Jin-mo), a young general of Goryeo, orders that the delegation should return to Goryeo. Lee Jee-hun (Song Jae-ho), a governor who is dissentient with Choi Jung, predicts his death and liberats his escort, Yeo Sol (Jung Woo-sung) from the state of a slave. The impoverished delegation arrives at a boat and meets with the Won army who kidnapped the Ming Princess Puyong (Zhang Ziyi). Choi Jung changes his plan to save the princess and wants to justify his cause. Meanwhile, Yeo Sol, with his excellent spear skill, faces another crisis due to the death of the governor Lee Jee-hun and her encounter with Princess Puyong. Jung Woo-sung completes Yeo Sol’s action with a simple but powerful skill that accurately hits the opponent with a long spear. Also notable are the use of the camera by Kim Hyung-koo, Cinematographer, and the co-work of the martial arts director Chung Doo-hong, who created the scene of Sapung Valley. The newly restored 4K remastered version will be showcased for the first time in BIFAN 2024.
