After their stormy divorce, Albert Einstein switched from "we" to "I". However, his correspondence shows that his ex-wife, Mileva (1875-1948), whom he met on the benches of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, contributed greatly to his greatest discoveries. Her name would soon be forgotten, buried under the legend of the father of relativity.
