Filmmaker Keira Greene attempts to trace her matrilineal lines back to her unknown grandmother who travelled alone from Ireland to England to give birth and leave her baby, Greene’s mother, for adoption. But this personal investigation and deep mining of the archive bears larger histories of obfuscation and systemic oppression.
