The film centers on 13-year-old Marcielle, nicknamed Tielle, who resides with her family in a riverside community on Marajó Island in the Amazon rainforest. As she matures, Tielle becomes increasingly aware of the systemic exploitation and abuse affecting the women in her community, including her own family. Determined to protect her younger sister and alter their predetermined paths, she bravely confronts the oppressive structures that govern their lives.
