At the heart of this digital film poem is a walk along the Maas river in Rotterdam. Ugo Petronin transforms this footage into a visceral film experience, by feeding the raw camera data to the wrong encoding format in his editing suite. The resulting output is iridescent and kaleidoscopic: a cinematic equivalent of the sensory experience of being overwhelmed. Accompanied by Clara Afonso’s poem Corps d’écumes, this formal experiment becomes an intimate meditation on states of confusion.
