In the documentary Maanskyn, we follow Tsakane, a 27-year-old ranger of the Black Mambas Anti-Poaching Unit. These women pursue their ideals in a male-dominated environment, striving for a better future for both nature and women in South Africa. The film invites us into Tsakane’s world through the letter she writes to her future self. We get to know the woman behind the uniform.
