The ‘Welsh Wizard' in good company: David Lloyd George, British prime minister 1916-22, walks through a garden [probably on his farm 'Bron-y-de', Churt, Surrey] accompanied by several dogs, and sits at his ease in a basket chair, reading a book. His leisure time is being recorded for a newsreel item and he declaims to the cameraman. He was keen on the Chow Chow breed of dog and had a particular favourite (probably seen here) known as ‘Y Chow Du' [The Black Chow].
