In the societies of the last century, when discussing "it", shame or aloofness typically prevailed, instead of openness and a positive recognition of sensuality, the fear of pregnancy or remorse remained. Important personalities such as Magnus Hirschfeld tried to change this through public education. Thanks to scientific findings, there was literally a sexual revolution and a complete change in the perception of one's own intimacy, which is still ongoing.
