For the first time in years, on the island of Motalava, in the north of Vanuatu, a new song will be written in the language of the ancestors – the language of the god Quat – and will become part of tradition. But even more surprising, this traditional song is written in honor of a White man, Alexandre François, a young French linguist, whom everyone there calls "Alex."
