Are women softer more withdrawn than men or on the contrary tougher when they have power? Since The Iron Lady this thorny question about women's access to high government functions has continued to be questioned. And their massive presence in key political positions has not closed the debate. To untangle the real clichés from the false stereotypes the director and political interviewer Hélène Risser chose two guinea pig mayors whose actions she has been exploring since their election in June 2020: the young green mayor of Poitiers Léonore Moncond'huy and the LR mayor of Biarritz Maïder Arosteguy at opposite ends of the spectrum. At least a priori. Because her investigation reveals astonishing common points that scientists experts in biological and cultural behaviors are deciphering. The key is a few ideas for getting out of a (too?) centralized and centralizing model of power as we know it in France.
