What if, instead of becoming impersonal and populated by pure strangers, the world was ultimately smaller than we imagine? Vali Fugulin launches without a net to attack the theory of six degrees of separation according to which there would be at most six people between each inhabitant of the planet. The more than six billion earthlings would therefore form a large human chain. Going to meet strangers in the Montreal metro, she asks them to pick up the trail of other presumed strangers. They must also add their words to a relay text that implicitly constitutes a plea in favor of creation. Taking the experiment even further, the filmmaker also asks Japanese people to follow the trail back to her. What if invisible links connected each of us to the whole of humanity? This film is from the Libres courts collection, first works short documentary films. Seven films, seven filmmakers, a new look at the world. Audacity. Emotion. Cinema.
