The human effort to capture time is a wide spectrum - from stone circles, through alarm clocks and cuckoo clocks, to the Prague Astronomical Clock. We measure it in notches and inverted sheets. We carry it in our pockets or on our wrists as products of the incredibly detailed and delicate work of watchmakers. The film introduces the field, enjoying its deserved admiration, with the help of the insight of craftsmen, collectors, physicists and philosophers.
