"It's Our Future," a film by Huffman Studio, follows middle and high school students and teachers in Brooklyn, New York who participate in the National Wildlife Federation's Resilient Schools Consortium (RiSC) - a program that educates youth about climate science, climate impacts and resilience strategies. The program engages students in hands-on activities like tree planting and dune restoration that mitigate the impacts of extreme weather. This documentary portrait was made before and during the COVID-19 pandemic and shows how climate resilience education proved to be a powerful tool that helped young people learn how to adapt and thrive in the face of tragedy, disruption and uncertainty.
