The national flag or the Czech lion - symbols that we don't think much about, but in reality they have a long history of trial and error. The third part of the Identity series introduces the audience to the visual appearance of key moments in our history. Graphic design accompanies us in all aspects of everyday life, and state symbols are no exception. The cycle takes us through the history of their creation from communist propaganda, through the Velvet Revolution to the presidential campaign of General Pavel. We will look at banknotes, movie posters and contemporary digital and motion graphics for television and internet projects. We will not only explore together the development of the visual face of the Czechoslovak Republic, but we will reveal what is hidden behind the symbols, signs and colors that represent it.
