Fourfold explores the imagery surface and its extension onto physical materials through videos, projections, and furniture-like objects.

The narrative is inspired by the Chinese board game “Mahjong”, where four players draw tiles to complete a set of patterns. This work is staged in four domestic rooms, each containing a furniture object made from wooden stools, stands, and fabric screens. Four parts of a video are projected onto these furniture objects, creating a sense of materiality through flatness, smooth transitions, and saturated colors. These "filmic fabrics" connect with the tangible wooden and fabric materials, forming a seamless continuum of surfaces, both physically and digitally, across the four rooms.

This "Film" submission includes a screener that shows the four parts of the video narrative (without the installation documentation) and how they correspond to each other. The preview image showcases the video installation.
