Shenandoah Valley farmers travel to remote Tangier Island in the middle of the Chesapeake Bay on trips sponsored by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation to learn how they can work with the islanders to make a difference. The trips feature hands-on Bay exploration, education and discovery, but the real focus is on meeting and engaging Tangier watermen, the islanders whose livelihoods depend upon clean water and a productive Chesapeake Bay.
