Director Lina Soualem traces the history of four generations of Palestinian women in her family by pointing the camera at her mother, actress Hiam Abbas, of Succession fame. In playfully recreating moments from Abbas’ life in Palestine, Soualem pays tribute to her mother while creating a record of the political and cultural issues of her lifetime. – Murtada Elfadl
