Abkhazia is a self-proclaimed sovereign state, separated from the rest of Georgia by a barbed wire border. By following the daily lives of two families, each with two young brothers, living on either side of the demarcation line, the director rediscovers her country, her family home in Sukhumi, and weaves together a bitter history, a fragile present and the possibility of re-imagining the future of Georgia through a particular vision of the world, the one of the children.
