Between 2014 and 2017, like others keep a notebook or send postcards, the painter Jean-Pierre Bellan filmed the flowers in his garden on his iPad, in short vignettes commented in voiceover and sent to his loved ones. After his death, his daughter put them together like others make a wreath or a bouquet. In counterpoint, she films her children on film during their own daily discipline: music, which also irrigates the soundtrack even when it is not visible in the image. In voiceover, the reminiscences of each of them compose the portrait in absence of the deceased, and of his daily practice of a poetry of description as care for the world.
