Millions of years ago, the largest creatures that ever lived walked the earth, but paleontologists discovered during excavations that in one place the dinosaurs were different and much larger than in others, literally gigantic. Why was that?
The largest number of gigantic dinosaurs once lived on the territory of the supercontinent Gondwana, in today's Argentina. Their species and physical diversity knew no boundaries and served for protection, combat or speed. Spinosaurus had a large spinal sail, and Maip, which was only discovered in 2022, was equipped with unusually long curved claws. Compared to other excavations, these dinosaurs stand out with their markings and size. Is this due to effective adaptation, or has one of the starting points of the prehistoric titans been found?
