It's winter for Albert, an eight-year-old boy, and his small family. A winter filled with upheavals—his mother is ill, middle school is looming, and the boy has lost his voice. With rigorously detached imagery, the film unfolds like a journal kept by young Albert. Yet Albert knows how to maintain his own distance, keeping his winter locked away.
